What was the highlight of Casa von Moltke
Unique stay on Cerro Alegro
Wonderfully located on Cerro Alegre, Casa von Moltke offers unique accommodations in a beautiful house. We stayed in Studio #2 and enjoyed the spacious room and the in-room breakfast service. The bathroom was very clean and well equipped. The location is outstanding, with many restaurants, shops, and cafés in walking distance. Yet the place is very quiet. We were able to reserve the covered and enclosed parking spot, which worked out great as parking is difficult to find on Cerro Alegre. Overall, a very nice experience and highly recommended.
The doors of the shower stall didn't close tightly, causing a puddle of water in front of the shower every time we used it. The breakfast was very good, though it would have been nice to have some fruit added to the menu.

What was the highlight of Casa von Moltke
Fabulous location, beautifully presented and fantastic size...
Fabulous location, beautifully presented and fantastic size for a family of 3. Loved the generous size of the room we were staying in and the location. Well equipped studio and the morning breakfast was simple but sufficient.
Unfortunately we found the welcome & hosting of the property staff to be quite lacking. On arrival, the staff member looked confused to see us there and eventually let us in, showed us our room without any other information. We had to actively seek out information about keys, breakfast arrangements, how to get in & out of the property etc. We also noted from previous reviews and an information sheet that we should have had a welcome drink of bubbles on the rooftop terrace but we weren’t told or offered this. We don’t speak Spanish which made communication with the staff member extremely tricky - and meant that when asking for help in getting from from the property to the airport early in the morning, we were given no information or assistance and were pretty much left to figure things out for ourselves. This would ordinarily have been fine but was tricky given we were travelling with a young child, who happened to fall ill on the last day of our travels. In terms of facilities - given how large the studio is, it would be great if it had been equipped with a bath!

What was the highlight of Casa von Moltke
Nice hosts and room, but hard to sleep with no air conditioning and so much light from the street.
The room was nice and the location was ok.
Beware: this property is on a V-shaped corner and there were 5 streetlights right outside the windows, making the room VERY light during the night even with the blackout shades. It was difficult to sleep well with the room so light. Also, there is no air conditioning, and by opening the windows to try to cool down made the situation even worse.

What was the highlight of Casa von Moltke
A good base, I would have been happy staying there for a week.
The location was excellent, the area is quiet and, unlike many areas of the city, seemed safe. Walk about five minutes up the road and there are a whole range of restaurants and cafes. The breakfast was very good even though it is a little DIY (they bring eggs, tea bags and coffee capsules, you cook them yourself) and they even supplied a proper tea pot! We did not do any cooking (apart from the eggs) but the kitchen was well appointed.
You don't get given a front door key. This means you have to ring the bell and someone opens it for you. We were always worried that no one would come although in practice they always did.
